I bet your are saying to yourself, why is a Roadside Assistance guy talking about restaurants? Well, because I eat too! You would not think it, but Greensboro has some damn good Ethnic Restaurants! So, without further pomp I give you my list of top places in no particular order.

Best Mexican: El Camino Real

This is a great neighborhood Mexican restaurant. The friendly owner is behind the counter every night making sure everything is perfect. The staff  is the friendliest in Greensboro. The food is top quality and very fresh. Be careful to no gorge on the salsa and chips, they are really addictive! And don’t forget Taco Tuesday! Dollar Tacos! You can’t beat that!

Best Indian: Saffron Indian Cuisine

This place is a cut above. Perfect quality dishes, with flavors that dance on your taste buds. Saffron is bar none the best indian I have ever eaten. This place made me a indian cuisine convert. Saffron is a fine dining experience with tasteful decor, it’s a great place to bring a date. Plus at lunch time they have the best buffet in town. I know what you are thinking, a buffet is not synonymous with good food. But this is just terrific. You can sample a wide assortment of different items that you might not normally try, it’s truly enlightening. If you’ve never had good indian food, give Saffron a try, they might change your mind.

Best Thai: Rearn Thai

Some people will argue that Pho Hien Vuong is the best Thai in Greensboro. I am a Outlyer. In regards to the quality of ingredients, freshness of food and flavor, Rearn Thai beats Pho Hien Vuong by a mile. Also Rearn Thai’s decor is much more tasteful. It’s a beautiful place. As I mentioned the food is very fresh and they don’t over cook it like some other places in Greensboro. It’s nice to have a meal that you feel that you are adsorbing all the nutrients because they were not cooked out of the food. I always feel better after eating at Rearn Thai, like my body is thanking me for eating something so healthy and delicious. Wonderful place that you should definitely try if you live in Greensboro.

Best Greek: Jack’s Corner

Causal Greek restaurant run by a wonderful extended family. They have been at the corner of Spring Garden and Acock for the past twenty years feeding hungry college students authentic Greek food.  Mythos Grill was threading to topple Jack’s as the best Greek in Greensboro for a while. But in the last year Mythos Grill’s quality of food has declined. Plus Jack’s has the best baklava in Greensboro, be sure to pick some up for a real treat!
